Beats Antique is a experimental electronic music band that combines belly dancing music with some down-tempo, hip hop, and jazz. They originally formed in the Bay Area around 2007, and have been making sick music since.

What's more amazing is that their belly dancer, Zoe Jakes, performs to their music and it's quite spectacular. But I don't know, I might have a soft spot for Ethnic Fusion belly dancing.

Anyway, they're performing at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Friday March 30th. It will be siiiiick

I wish we had this in community college!

Madeon is a French House artist that has been getting some serious play around San Francisco. Especially since his recent show at Ruby Skye. Fun fact: This cat is the mere age of 17. Can you believe that?  He's got a Wikipedia page, has headlined Coachella, and started when he was 11! Now that's a calling for happy music greatness. Mad props to him and good fortunes for the future of his career in the disco-fever industry!

Idiotape [이디오테잎]

Idiotape is an Electro/Rock band that came across my attention while lurking the depths of the internet. They combine the heavy hitters of a live drum and bass set up with the bips and boops of synth.

This is what I'd imagine a chiptune and Shinichi Osawa concert would sound like.

D-touch Technology

Have you ever wanted to make your own ghetto-rigged sequencer or drum machine with little-to-no technical skills? Well, kids, the time has come.

Introducing the D-touch sequencer and D-touch drum machine!

Invented around 2002/2003, these little beauties are seriously just composed of a webcam ductaped to a tri-prong stand, paper cutout markers, and some handy software complementary of D-touch.org

The concept is ingenious and I think the best part is low in cost for production. It may not be a plausible right  now for effective full on live composition, but a fun, easy, and interesting toy nonetheless.

Kill the Noise

Kill the Noise is that heavy banger that you hear bumping in the clubs lately. Under Skrillex's label, OWSLA  , KTN has been dropping some mad beats with hard electro synths and a awesome variations of drum and bass and dubstep. This ghoulish man makes your eardrums vibrate and wobble to a euphoric finish, trust me!
